Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical Raises $2 Million for The Actors Fund
The streaming event starred Tituss Burgess, Andrew Barth Feldman, Ashley Park, and more Broadway favorites.
That’s a lot of cheese: The streaming production of Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical has raised $2 million for The Actors Fund, supporting theatre workers via various grants and programs to keep people financially secure and healthy. The event is now considered the most successful fundraiser in the organization’s history with over 350,000 people catching the show during its virtual run.
The Actors Fund offered more than $18 million in relief to over 14,700 people last year as the COVID-19 pandemic ravaged the industry. As it stands, Broadway is set to reopen June 1 this year at the earliest. As recently reported, Dr. Anthony Fauci told a panel January 11 that theatres will likely open in the fall.
