The commercial-free streaming music service features Broadway stars and show tunes.
Broadway Records, the Grammy-winning record label dedicated to preserving musical theatre and theatre vocalists, has launched Broadway Records Radio on the Dash digital radio network. The new streaming music service may be found on the Dash Radio App (available on over 50 platforms) or by visiting DashRadio.com/broadway.
“We are proud to partner with Dash Radio to create an advertising-free streaming channel dedicated to show tunes and Broadway stars—all at no cost to the listener,” says Van Dean, president of Broadway Records. “Broadway fans have clearly shown us that their hunger to consume cast recordings is strong, even in the wake of Broadway’s shutdown. Playlists for the station feature hundreds of songs from the Broadway Records catalog including fan favorites, staff picks, live recordings of concerts by Broadway stars as well as selections from new works on their way to Broadway.”
Dash Radio is the global leader in curated, lean-back audio experiences. Since its 2015 launch, Dash has become the world’s largest all-original digital broadcaster, delivering radio without fees or subscriptions.
Recent Broadway Records releases include If The Fates Allow: The Hadestown Holiday Album, Lea Salonga Live in Concert with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Legacy: Two Song Cycles by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, a double album purple vinyl set of the Grammy-winning The Color Purple (2015 revival), the Tony-winning revival of Once On This Island, a double album blue vinyl set of the Grammy-nominated Matilda The Musical, Fiddler on the Roof (2015 revival), My Fair Lady (2018 revival), Anastasia, Bandstand, Groundhog Day, The Lightning Thief, and NBC’s television events, The Wiz Live!, and Peter Pan Live!.
